Why You Must Vote: Freedom vs Slavery

Posted on Jan 1st, 2008 by Jim : Capitalist Jim
freedom 101

This election is truly about freedom.  It is pivotal to America's future.  The issues are not partisan.  The issues at their core are about what it means to be an American, and whether that way of life will continue.  The issues condense to a question of freedom versus slavery. Examine all the candidates and their messages, and vote for making your own decisions about life, and granting that same respect to others.  Think for yourself.  Stand up for your rights.  Register to vote.  Go to your state caucus, and vote.

"The love of liberty is the love of others; the love of power is the love of ourselves. "

made a really really long reply, think I'll post it as a new blog instead of a comment here on yours. :-)

No, I won't be voting in any election, not when they only offer us the choice between bad and really really bad and unimaginably insane.

Politicians are traditionally very poor examples of man. They're restricted by a built in failure of government; terms. With terms of government, politicians are forced to sell their ideas every 3, 4 years, what results is something between a popularity and a beauty contest. The fate of a nation goes by the way while the electorate gets another failed leader of man instead of a leader of nation. Leaders should find their way to the top, like Gandhi, Martin Luther King, John Lennon, be naturally pushed forward by the people. I fear in government that we have failed man, that the populous vote mixed with a media that all too often determines the outcomes; who and what we need or want is a predeterimined beige of ultimate dissatification. The only government that can succed, is one that we don't see, a government that allows us to go about our daily life, a government that merely protects our borders, our food supply and our homes. And the terms of government should be determined by the pulse of the nation, its success; measured not by economic growth but by sustainability and peace.

And for that reason I encourage all Americans to vote for Ron Paul, the only man in the system who will attempt to pull down as many levels as he can of the beaurcratic and goverment controlled system that has become of our lives.

That is a:) if the media even lets the common man know Ron Paul is running. b) if Ron Paul can somehow garner the Republican nomination. c) if Ron Paul can escape the many attempts on his life by people who would wish to keep the status quo, like the oil conglomerates, the health and drug industries, the military industrial complex. d) an impotent Congress that has been bought and sold.
Even if Ron Paul made it to the White House, he would have to use the power that Congress has given Bush to bring about the changes. He would have to do that before he returns those powers to normal. Otherwise, Congress will just block any move by him to make changes. I like some of what I have heard from Ron Paul, but he is but one man. The changes he seeks would have to be passed by Congress. As long as we keep voting in the inumbents, Ron Paul will be powerless to bring about the changes he envisions. Our form of government is good when it is not bad.

I think this is much bigger than anyone realizes.  When I gave a DVD and flyer to a clerk in a convenience store today, she said, I'm caucusing for him tomorrow.  The people who know about him WILL caucus.  There is huge emtional support for freedom. HUGE!  PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER VOTED BEFORE ARE CAUCUSING.  The polls just don't catch it.  He'll win or be close in Iowa.  He will win New Hampshire.  And the congressmen who fight it will get thrown out in two years.  It's bigger than Ron Paul.  It's a grass roots freedom explosion.  This is going to happen.

I sure hope you're right Jim.
WW, Paul brings back the troops from overseas first thing (he can do that as President); not just Iraq and Afghanistan, but Germany, Japan, Korea, no more East European incursions by NATO, the impact on the world would be incredible. Everyone wants America back on top, not with military might but as a beacon of freedom. America is the only country that really told England where to go, you're a hero in everyone eyes.
If Ron Paul became President his message would be getting drummed into every American every day; a message of truth. Believe it or not but people still go for that stuff. The Republican party could change, more indepedents could run; there is always hope.
If you think things can't change, we just changed our government in Australia here and the conservatives (neo-conservatives) are now dead in the water. In control for 12 years and now people are talking about the party collapsing. The only thing left for Australia is to becomes a Republic then it's happy days for all; true indepedence.

Well it was good to see Ron Paul nab 10%. Just 3% more and he would have been tied for third when most media outlets were writing him off. Best yet is that he beat out one of the darlings, Guiliani who barely even scored. We will see how he fares in NH. Early media reports are saying that it is McCain's to win. If he can pull in a close second, then it will show him rising in the stats and increase his following. He might get some media attention then. It was good to see Obama take Iowa. I have nothing against a woman President, but I don't know as I like HIllary that much. Edwards, I just don't know too much about. Being indpendent, I have to kind of wait until after this first round is over and see who the parties put forth.
Recent news said that Obama and Ron Paul won the MySpace polls. Mother Jones news said in its recent article that Ron Paul leads in all Internet polls. How that translates at the voting machines only time will tell. I hope it does. We need a serious change in this country. Yes, a clean sweep like Australia did. I pray, GW that it works out for you down there. I have many friends down under and hope the best for them.

I truly hope also that the internet society do come out to be the total support that R. Paul needs to push the momentum of his campaign over the top to be, who we would like for him to be. Surely he has all confidence in all of the support given to him by all of us on the internet, and when it comes to the final elections let the Truth be known then.

I think many of the internet crowd are not participating in the caucuses and delegations because they seem to find those caucuses sort of a lost cause of promoting R. Paul to the top. But it must come to the attention of all of those, that when it comes down to the appointment of R. Paul to the position of Presidential Candidate that their votes are needed in the Primaries.

Ron Paul has made the comment that he will not seek the Independent Position of Candidacy, if he is not put into that position out of the Republican Party. Doesn't the Delegates from each State help to decide who is going to be the winner in the end of that Party, when it comes to the representation of the Candidate in the November Elections? If so, then the internet community needs to occupy the voting precincts and help to push the number of Delegates up to push him into that position.

I have experienced first hand that Write-in Votes in smaller precincts do not work. I knew of at least 100 votes on my write-in candidacy for District Judge that received no accountability to my effort in this matter. All of my write-in votes went directly to the incumbent who was already seated in that position. Needless to say, the voting procedure was the electronic balloting, and it is definitely corrupt in the tallying of the votes.

If hard copy balloting is not used in elections then the voting will more than likely be corrupted to allow the “Chosen” Candidate be elected to the position of President. That is why R. Paul must be put into the position to take the candidacy away from the other front-runners on the Bought Polls who lead the Propagandic Media news outlets. On the internet, supporters seem to outnumber the amount of votes given at the caucuses and primaries, but then too, the numbers may be wide-spread nationwide in comparison  to the idividual States and their Primaries.

Jim, you are a member of a Ron Paul Meet-up Group. Is there any way to get an accurate reading of where the support is coming from in the internet polling? So far, without individual voluntary disclosure, I have not seen much in the relationship of the support as compared to the State precinct numbers. If there was a way to entice internet supporters to at least give their State location on their polls, then the Meet-ups would have a better idea on where they need to do even more work in promoting R. Paul.

Many of these early primaries are already giving people ideas as to whether the candidate they are supporting is going to do well in the national view or not. So far R. Paul is maintaining a 10% average, but that would have to go up, if he pulled a majority of the primaries in the later State's primaries. I know he is favored in at least 7 States, but will they even be enough to take him to the top? That should be the concern of the Meet-up Groups in each of the States to get active and get the information out and get the voters to the polls.

GW: don't leave out “Honesty” along with the “Truth” in all respects, because the truth can be deceiving. Honest Truth is what is needed for everyone to see what is actually coming around. We have enough deceptive Truth going around even now, here in this country. Deception even of the truth can be the downfall of this Great Nation, if we allow the deception to proliferate our minds and our lives.

We, ourselves, must help to dissolve those stagnant Parties and Departments by not acknowledging their so-called power and leverage they have over all of us here. Instead of being receptive to their policies they emit for us to accept and follow, we MUST make independent decisions to resolve to do something about shutting those systems down for all eternity, and then integrate together as a United Front to eliminate them. Our Constitution gives us, as Sovereign Citizens, that power and it is up to us to act upon that power whenever it is  deemed necessary or even before as a preventative nature.

Needless to say, our elected officials have not been doing what is necessary to protect the Sovereignty of the people, except to give lip-service to get elected, and then do what they want, once they arrive there. As I said in another post, Laws are nothing more that issues of control over all the people to “Force” those people into doing what our politicians want us to do. We the People, have allowed this to continue because we are too lax in our abilities as a collected whole to control our politicians as is mandated by law. We allow them to deceive us into doing what is for the “Social Good”, “Good of the Public”, and as a “Means to the Ends”. When we do that, then we have given our “God-Given Rights” away to these politicians to do with as they please. Look at Homeland Security and the USA PATRIOT ACT of 2001, and the like. Corruption run amuck right under our noses.
